Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society receives funding from Village of Harrison

Great news for the Agassiz-Harrison Museum as the Village of Harrison Hot Springs has committed to supporting its museum through a $10,000 annual contribution.

The museum, located in Agassiz, also receives annual contributions from Tourism Harrison and the District of Kent. But the Museum also tells the story of Harrison Hot Springs, and so the funding is a much needed contribution in order to continue to preserve and share the rich history of the Harrison area too.

While small museums like Agassiz-Harrison receive provincial and federal grants for the purpose of special projects, museums often rely on ongoing operating funds to pay salaries, cover costs of running heritage buildings, keep collections safe, and to deliver excellent programs.
