Day One of our Annual Conference, “Land, Water, People,” is complete. A look at the day’s photos, and the faces and places say it all.
We had engaging lectures on sports, flood management, Sikh heritage, reconciliation, and archival methods; an amazing keynote by Dr. Gwen Point of the University of the Fraser Valley; a bustling book fair; field trips to the Stó:lō Interpretive Centre, downtown heritage buildings, and local hops and beer producers; and a glimpse into the ground-breaking art installation Grand Theft Terra Firma with artists David Campion and Sandra Shields.
