BCHF submits questions on history to BC party leaders’ debate

The BCHF has submitted the questions from our Step Up for History 2017 election outreach campaign to Global News in hopes that they will be selected for discussion during the televised BC party leaders’ debate on April 26, 2017.

BCHF President K. Jane Watt submitted the questions to Global News on Friday April 14, 2017, along with information about the BCHF’s Step Up for History campaign. The questions are those contained on the BCHF’s Step Up for History 2017 campaign brief.

The party leaders’ debate will feature BC Liberal leader Christy Clark, NDP leader John Horgan and Green Party leader Andrew Weaver. It will be broadcast on all major television and radio news networks in BC on Wednesday April 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This will be the only live televised debate of the campaign, and a chance for the public to hear where the candidates stand on a number of issues that are critical to the future of the province, according to the Global News BC Election web site.
