The Clayburn Village Museum is celebrating Heritage Week 2019 by opening Feb 21, 22 and 23 from 1- 4. Clayburn is BC’s first company town.
Located in the basement of the heritage designated Clayburn Schoolhouse at 4315 Wright Street in Abbotsford, the Clayburn Village Museum houses a railway scale model of the Clayburn Company Ltd. brick plant and the company-built village, circa 1925.
Many photos and artifacts are also on display along with an old fashioned schoolroom. Our resident historian, Cyril Holbrow at age 97, is still sharing his knowledge and experiences of working for Clayburn Industries and also as a WWII veteran.
The Clayburn Village Museum is regularly open every Saturday during July, August and September from 1-4. For more information visitclayburnvillage.com
