Peggy Imredy, June 22, 1920 ─ August 23, 2015
Peggy and her husband Elek were long time members of the Vancouver Historical Society. The BCHF benefited from Peggy’s book reviews in the BC Historical News and her service on council. At a BCHF Council meeting in the fall of 1982 Peggy suggested that since the Manitoba historical had a writing competition that we might have one too. Her suggestion was taken up and the writing competition was organized in 1983-84. Naomi Miller’s published her memories of the writing competition in the BCHF Newsletter No. 21, 2008.
