Provincial Heritage Fair coming to Prince George

The BC Provincial Heritage Fair is set to take place in Prince George, for the first time, from July 2-5.

The Provincial Heritage Fair brings together elementary, middle, and high school delegations from across BC to present their Heritage Fair projects on topics in Canadian history.

Providing young students with an opportunity to engage with these topics from a critical perspective is crucial to growing stalwart community leaders and well-informed citizens.

Delegates will be immersed in activities, programming, and visits to local Prince George historical sites and landmarks. This will be the first in-person Fair since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s an important provincial-level celebration of the efforts of these young historians, leaders, and researchers.

The Provincial Fair experience is fully sponsored and at no cost for the students thanks to donors and sponsors (there’s still time to donate toward a $43,000 fundraising target at https://bcheritagefairs.ca/donations).

Organizations interested in sponsoring this year’s Fair can also reach out to the Provincial Fair Coordinator at coordinator@bcheritagefairs.ca
