A theme fitting for 2020, Surrey Historical Society and the BCHF bring you “Back to the Future: Celebrating Heritage in the 21st Century.”

Conference host organizer Michael Gibbs has been working with his team of volunteers to put on a true collaboration of history and heritage organizations in Surrey.

At conference, you will ride into the past on a restored interurban streetcar at the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway and enjoy one of three guided bus tour through Surrey: North, Central or South. Knowledgable guides point out areas of local historical interest.

Attend the prestigious BC Historical Writing Book Awards Gala, wander the Ideas Fair, and network with colleagues and friends at two evening receptions hosted by the Museum of Surrey and the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society. Listen to diverse lectures on topics of local history and heritage, and say hello to old friends. See you at the conference!
