Robin Lister was a proud descendant of early settlers to Chilliwack. He donated a number of items from his Grossman ancestors to the museum collection.
In 1997 he was part of the 100th anniversary event for St. Thomas Church and played the role of pioneer Horatio Webb.
He fact-checked and photographed images from the Chilliwack Progress for David B. Reid’s book Fields of Seams and Dreams: Plowing in the Valley.
He was a 2012 recipient of a Chilliwack Museum and Historical Society Heritage Award for his research assistance for Andrea Lister’s book Committment to Caring: Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary’s 100 Years.
He was treasurer of the Chilliwack Museum and Historical Society from the summer of 2012 until Spring 2016.
He helped proof and fact-check some issues of British Columbia History magazine when regular proofers were unavailable.
