The BC Historical Federation is pleased to announce the Surrey Historical Society will host the 2021 BCHF conference.
The Society was preparing to host the annual conference in June 2020 when health concerns caused by the coronavirus pandemic put a stop to plans and forced the cancellation of the event.
“We’re excited, happy and looking forward to hosting the BCHF conference in Surrey next spring” Surrey Historical Society’s Michael Gibbs commented. “Our team is re-grouping and will continue planning”.
Gibbs is looking at dates in early June 2021 and hopes to includes conversations reflecting on British Columbia’s sesquicentennial.
“Hosting in Surrey next year made sense given the amount of work, passion and excitement generated for this year’s event.” BCHF President Shannon Bettles says. “We look forward to continue working with the Surrey Historical Society”.
