The Friends of the BC Archives invites archives, museums, and historical societies to apply for grants from the Terry Reksten Memorial Fund [TRMF], which is administered by the Friends of the BC Archives and adjudicated with the Archives Association of BC and the Reksten family.
The goal of the Fund is to assist “community archives” in organizing, preserving, describing and disseminating archival records that are significant at a local or regional level. For our purposes, a “community archives” is defined as facility that is open to the public during regular posted hours and is managed by no more than three (3) paid employees.
Applicants are encouraged to submit a brief one or two-page letter that addresses the following points: Project overview, with a statement on the significance of the project; proposed use of funds; budget outline; and timeline for the project.
