We are pleased to announce the Vancouver Historical Society is the recipient of the 2017 Best News and Media Award.
Each year, the BCHF offers a certificate and cash prize of $250 for published news and media resources by members, which includes newsletters, blogs, social media campaigns, print media campaigns, videos and podcasts.
This year’s recipient of the award is the Vancouver Historical Society for the September 2017 newsletter, which has been showcasing the historical work of the Historical Society and its members since 1936. The judges found the newsletter to be engaging and diverse, telling Vancouver’s stories and promoting local history.
The prize was awarded on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the book awards gala event in Nakusp as part of the BCHF annual conference and accepted by VHS President Michael Kluckner who was also the keynote speaker at the awards evening.
