BCHF members Raptis and Morrow receive award in Prince George

Congratulations to BCHF members Helen Raptis and Trelle A. Morrow, recipients of 2019 Jeanne Clarke Local History Awards presented by the Prince George Public Library.

Ms. Raptis won in the publication category for her book What We Learned: Two Generations Reflect on Tsimshian Education and the Day Schools, which she wrote with members of the Tsimshian Nation.

Mr. Morrow received a service award for his ten-plus years of volunteer contributions his community. A retired architect, Morrow has written several books on local and regional history and is an active member of the Prince George Heritage Commission.  His most recent book, Knox: Prince George was also nominated in the publication category. 

The Jeanne Clarke Local History Awards are presented annually to individuals or groups for outstanding contributions in the preservation and promotion of local history. For more information, visit Prince George Public Libarary – Local History.
