Heather Cooper of the Bamfield Historical Society awarded Certificate of Recognition

We are pleased to announce that Heather Cooper of Bamfield, BC is the recipient of a Certificate of Recognition.

Each year, the British Columbia Historical Federation recognizes outstanding contributions by individuals and groups to the study and promotion of British Columbia history. Certificates of Recognition are awarded to individual members of BCHF Member Societies who have given exceptional service to their organization or community either for a specific project or for long service in the preservation of British Columbia’s history.

Heather Cooper of the Bamfield Historical Society has worked tirelessly to share and promote the history of Bamfield through publications, signage projects and exhibits. She was instrumental in the formation of the Bamfield Historical Society acting in as its President. The list of accomplishments Heather has initiated with the Bamfield Historical are long — the history of Bamfield is being well preserved thanks to Heather and her team.

The prize was awarded on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the book awards gala event in Nakusp as part of the BCHF annual conference.
