Langley Heritage Society launches 40th anniversary photo contest

The Langley Heritage Society is celebrating 40 years of work preserving and restoring Langley’s heritage by hosting a photo contest. The contest highlight’s Langley’s heritage structures, heritage landscapes, and people.

The 40th Anniversary Photo Contest starts on Monday, February 17th and closes on Monday May 4th at 10pm.

Entries may be submitted in the following categories:

  • Langley Heritage Buildings
  • Langley Heritage Landscapes
  • Langley People

The contest is open to amateur photographers resident in British Columbia.

Submission Guidelines: Sent your photo to info@langleyheritage.ca. Maxiumum 1400 px wide and 1050 px high. Limit of one entry per email: include your name, address, telephone numbers and category. Some entries will also be featured on the LHS Facebook page and website. No name or watermark is permitted on the front of your image. Limit of 3 entries per person.

A $200 prize will be awarded in each of the three categories. Winning photos will be displayed at the Fort Langley CNR station beginning May 18th, 2020. Winning photos will also appear on the LHS website, Facebook page and website.

A panel of three judges will review and score the images with winners in each of the three categories. Judges will consider composition, content/originality, and visual impact. All decisions are final.
