At their Annual General Meeting on March 12, the Nanaimo Historical Society presented Distinguished Service Awards to Pamela Mar and Gordon Miller for their long-term service to the Society.
The two were recognized as officer holders and for their dedication to the promotion, well-being and development of the society.
Miller and Marr have also been active in the BC Historical Federation.
For a little extra fun, the Society kept Gordon’s award a surprise. The awards were graciously presented by MLA Sheila Malcolmson and Mayor Leonard Krog. The Nanaimo Historical Society would like to thank them and Councillor Ian Thorpe for being there to help us celebrate these outstanding members.
