Online exhibit spotlights BC’s Black pioneers

An online exhibit created by the BC Black History Awareness Society tells the story of BC’s Black pioneers. About 800 immigrants accepted Governor James Douglas’ offer to settle on Vancouver Island beginning in 1858. The exhibit includes stories, photos, and videos.
