| Since 1989, the British Columbia Historical Federation has awarded a scholarship for student works. In 2001, the scholarship was renamed to honour the late archivist and historian, William Kaye Lamb.|
What makes this award unique is that the students do not have to be history majors — they could be in urban planning, or architecture, anthropology or theatre. It’s about the historical aspect to the work.
What types of work qualify?
Submissions do not have to be essays. Any type of work may be submitted, including an essay (1,500-3,000 words), website, video or film, performance recording, podcast, artwork or installation.
What’s the deadline?
The deadline for submissions for the 2019 award is March 15, 2020.
