Honorary President

Shannon lives in Williams Lake on the unceded territory of the Secwépemc peoples, neighbouring the Tsilhqot'in and Dakelh.

Shannon has been a director with the BCHF since 2016 where she served as president during the COVID-19 pandemic (2019-2021). In that time, she initiated many digital initiatives for the organization, including the implementation of an online membership and subscription management system.

Shannon has over 20 years of experience working in the heritage sector as an archivist and curator in museums, historic sites, and archives. She holds degrees in library and information studies, museology, and art history from the University of Alberta, St. Andrews University (UK), and the University of Guelph.

Shannon is a former athlete, having represented Canada in ringette at the World Ringette Championships as a goaltender, and competed with Team BC in women's ice hockey.

She continues to give back to sport through her work as a sports administrator in ringette and hockey. Shannon is the President of the West Coast Ringette Historical Society, a small historical society dedicated to ringette history in BC, and she is on the boards of the Lower Mainland Ringette League, the Ice Hawks Ringette Association, and the Williams Lake Women’s Hockey League.
