Chelsea lives in Abbotsford on the traditional territories of the Semá:th and Mathxwí First Nations and works in Harrison Mills on the traditional territories of the Sq'éwlets and Sts’ailes First Nations.

Chelsea Brown is Curator at the Kilby Historic Site in Harrison Mills, BC. She is an Oxford University graduate where she received her Master of Studies in Global and Imperial History with distinction in 2020.

Chelsea’s recent work has included the repatriation of 33 cultural belongings to the Sq'éwlets and Sts’ailes First Nations (2023), a project to rehouse the archival materials at the Kilby Historic Site (2024), digitization, emergency planning, and several deaccessioning projects across BC.
